i'm at work also and on lunch so I dont have time to start looking around now. Sorry The gist, stay away from sony (here comes the fun!), stick with Nikon or Canon ... the two companies that have shown they are serious about digital photography and continue to excel in optics and have the sensors to back those optics up.Look at what Canon and Nikon have to offer in that price range. [ www.dpreview.com ] is a great source and will probably tell you more than you need to know .. skip to the end of their reviews if you just want the gist of it. If someone wants to get a DSLR than they need to take into account that they are buying into a system where the body is something you'll upgrade numerous times where the lenses are the most important piece and will stick with you for years and years to come... hence why I recommend not skimping on them. See what each company has to offer (Nikon and Canon again, Olympus & minolta and others havent impressed me with their lineups) Honestly I may have some time tonight and I'll see what I can find, I'm not entirely sure when I'll get home though.
